Who We Are

JC Architectural Consultant was established in 2016 by Josh Caley, a fully qualified Architectural Technologist, with the aim of providing a professional service that allows the clients dreams to become a reality. We are able to provide a tailor made service offering the vision to projects of any size ranging from a simple bathroom re-model to a bespoke high end new dwelling and everything in between. Operating from South Lincolnshire we cover a large area including Lincolnshire, Cambridgeshire, Norfolk, Leicestershire and beyond.

We are able to work on a wide range of projects including works to listed buildings, loft conversions, internal re-models and alterations, site feasibility studies, barn/industrial conversions and commercial projects, but we specialise in the residential sector with particular focus on both altering and extending existing dwellings and designing the new build home of your dreams.

JC Architectural Consultant are able to take your brief and visualise this in either 2D or 3D whilst listening to your requirements every step of the way. We will work to obtain all the required permissions and, if necessary, we will tender your project with contractors and project manage the works through to completion to take all the hassle away from the client. You can rest assured that your dreams are safely in our hands and we will take care of everything, every step of the way.

What We Do

Site and Building Appraisals – We will conduct a feasibility study or condition report on your potential building plot or project to arm you with enough information as possible before diving in to the chaotic world of self build or property development.

Architectural Design – We put all our effort and knowledge in to everything we do and this results in a unique and creative take on your brief. We will be guided by the client and offer our advice and thoughts throughout to get the best out of every project, whether it’s a new garage or a small housing development.

Application Submissions – Once the design work has been completed we will submit the necessary applications, be it Planning Consent, Listed Building Consent or Change of Use. With the trickier applications we will arrange consultations with the Local Authority and act on your behalf to obtain all necessary approvals.

Building Regulations – Building Regulations apply to almost all works carried out on a building. Following the successful application process we will prepare the ‘Working Drawings’ for the project which will give builders everything they need to carry out the works. We will submit the drawings to Building Control and obtain the approval required before starting the works.

Tendering – We have a number of builders who we work with on a regular basis and we will tender the project with these, usually looking to obtain three or more prices depending on the size of the project. We will supply the builders with all the information they need to produce an accurate price and project programme so that you can make an informed. We will support you while making a decision and instruct the successful builder on your behalf.

Project Management – When the building works start we can take all the stress away from you and oversee the project on your behalf. We will carry out regular meetings on site with the client, the builders and any other relevant parties and ensure everything is running smoothly, on time and on budget.
